Powercolor launches HD 7870 PCS+ graphics card
Radeon HD 7870 clocked at 1100MHz
In addition to reference Radeon HD 7870 and the reference Radeon HD 7850 cards, Powercolor has decided to go for a factory overclocked HD 7870 and has launched a model that will carry their PCS+ Edition brand.
Featuring a hefty factory overclock, the new Powercolor PCS+ HD7870 GHz Edition still packs 1280 stream processors and packs 2GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 256-bit memory interface. The new PCS+ addition ended up clocked at 1.1GHz for the GPU while those 2GB of GDDR5 memory are ticking at 4.9GHz. The card is cooled by a dual-slot cooler with single center placed fan.
As noted, Powercolor also rolled out the reference clocked Radeon HD 7870 clocked at 1000MHz/4800MHz for GPU and memory as well as the reference clocked and cooled Radeon HD 7850 card.
All cards are scheduled to appear in retail/e-tail by the end of this month.
